At South Piedmont Community College, high school students can begin their college journey through Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways. Earn college credits while still in high school and explore exciting careers in fields like health sciences, business, technology, and more. Our CTE programs offer real-world training that can lead to a certificate, diploma, or even an Associate in Applied Science degree.

An important note: You will apply to South Piedmont’s Dual Enrollment program using the College Foundation of North Carolina application. After you create your CFNC account, be sure to select the “CCP application.” The application process for Early Colleges is handled at the Early Colleges themselves. Workforce Preparation

I chose to be dually enrolled in CTE with South Piedmont because I wanted to challenge myself with new knowledge and a larger volume of high-level courses that my high school alone didn’t offer. I chose to enroll in South Piedmont due to how well it’s integrated within my school system, and the excellent support from the counselors and instructors both at South Piedmont and my current school!
