Enhanced Learning Opportunities

At South Piedmont, we believe education shouldn’t be limited to class. That’s why we offer a wide range of high-impact learning practices, from undergraduate research to service learning, from our prestigious Revere Student Journal to the chance to earn your two-year degree in 12 months while studying in an accelerated, cohort-based learning community. Take advantage of these enhanced learning opportunities to make the most of your South Piedmont experience.

A two-year degree. In just 12 months.

South Piedmont’s Associate in Arts in a Year is a one-of-a-kind educational opportunity. Students in this program proceed through the curriculum as a cohort, meaning you’ll have a built-in support system from day one. The cohort model also provides ample chances to have in-depth, thought-provoking discussions.

Classes are offered online and in-person and take place in the evenings and on weekends, making it possible for you to balance your work, life, and education.

Best of all, the out-of-pocket costs for this program are capped at just $1,500 for North Carolina residents who qualify.

The Associate in Arts in a Year is one of several enhanced learning opportunities that make South Piedmont the ideal choice for your education.

Get a degree. Get ahead.

I enrolled in South Piedmont’s Associate in Arts in a Year program because to move up in my career, I need a degree. I thought school wasn’t for me. I thought it was way too late. But it’s never too late. Will it be hard? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Can you succeed? Yes.
