Welcome Week 2026

Start the semester with free food, activities, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with Student Life, SGA, clubs, campus departments, and community partners.

Old Charlotte Highway Campus: August 17–20

L.L. Polk Campus: August 24–27

Activities throughout the two weeks include Pelican SnoBall, ice cream socials, Doughnuts with the President, E-Sports activities, campus tours, and Involvement Fairs.

Students who sign in at the Involvement Fair can receive a free Welcome Week T-shirt while supplies last. T-shirts are limited to the first 200 students at each campus.

Please register to let us know which Welcome Week events you plan to attend. All activities are free for SPCC students.

WEEK 1

  • Monday, August 17 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
    • MIC Center First Anniversary Celebration | Building A
    • Pelican SnoBall
    • E-Sports Arena tours- Meet Coach Kevin
      • Games, activities, and opportunities to explore Building A.
  • Tuesday, August 18 | 2:00–4:00 PM
    • Ice Cream Social with SGA | Main Lobby
      • Enjoy a free bowl of ice cream and learn how to get involved on campus.
  • Wednesday, August 19 | 8:30–10:00 AM
    • Doughnuts with the President | Main Lobby
      • Enjoy free doughnuts and meet SPCC President Dr. Waters-Bailey.
  • Thursday, August 20 | 11:30 AM–2:00 PM
    • Involvement Fair| Main Student Center, Lobby, and Patio  
      • Meet student clubs, college departments, community partners, and campus resources. Enjoy personalized license plates, an inflatable attraction, hot dogs, chips, drinks, and music.
