Real Estate FAQ
Being a real estate agent can be a great career if you’re self-motivated, want unlimited earning potential, value a flexible schedule, and like the idea of being your own boss. However, it may not be the right fit if you need a predictable paycheck from the start or aren’t interested in networking, sales, and building relationships to grow your business.
This would usually depend upon the firm an agent affiliates with. Some brokerage firm’s require that new agents commit to full time so they can attend the firm’s trainings.
There is not a minimum age for this course, but there are considerations from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission:
An individual must be 18 years old to get their real estate License. Also, there is a 3-year expiration date for the course completion certificate. To qualify for an individual real estate broker license, an applicant must be a United States citizen, a non-citizen national or a qualified alien under federal law, or have a lawful presence in the U.S. The individual must have a Social Security number.
