As a student in this course, you’ll complete 80 hours of online coursework. You only have to come to campus for the final.

Licensure
South Piedmont’s real estate course will prepare you for the North Carolina real estate licensure examination.
Real Estate FAQ
There is not a minimum age for this course per SPCC policy, but there are considerations from the NC Real Estate Commission:
The individual must be 18 years old to get their Real Estate License. Also, there is a 3-year expiration date for the course completion certificate. To qualify for an individual real estate broker license, an applicant must be a United States citizen, a non-citizen national or a qualified alien under federal law, or have a lawful presence in the U.S. The individual must have a social security number.

- This course meets virtually, participants will be live online with their instructor
- Participants will be provided a log-on link for the synchronous class sessions when they register
- You can log on from home, from work, or whatever space works for you
- End of course exam will be conducted in-person on the SPCC Monroe Campus, Testing Center, 4209 Old Charlotte Highway, Monroe NC 28110
eBook access code will be available on the first day of class.
A reminder of the attendance policy for this course:
- Per NCREC Policy, students must not miss more than four (4) virtual class sessions or they will be removed from the class.
- Per SPCC policy, students must participate by the census date or they will be removed from the class.
- Per SPCC policy, students must complete at least one online assignment and/or attend a virtual class once per week (7 days) throughout the course or else they will be removed from the class.
