Make a difference. One patient at a time.
Phlebotomy is a critical healthcare profession focused on drawing blood for testing, transfusions, research, or donations. Phlebotomists are trained to collect blood samples with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety while following strict medical and laboratory protocols. Their work plays a vital role in diagnosing and monitoring illnesses, making them an essential part of any healthcare team.
At South Piedmont, we’ll teach you both the technical skills needed to work as a phlebotomist, as well as the interpersonal skills you’ll need to interact with patients from a wide variety of backgrounds and walks of life. You’ll complete the program ready to work in a hospital, clinic, lab, or blood-donation center, equipped with the know-how and can-do to be a successful phlebotomist.
