The Maintenance Certificate program provides foundational training in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, preparing you for entry-level positions in various industries requiring mechanical and maintenance skills.

This course provides an introductory overview of Industrial Maintenance. Key content includes Orientation to the Trade, Tools of the Trade, Blueprint Reading, Fasteners and Anchors, Oxyfuel Cutting, Gaskets and Packing, Craft-Related Mathematics, Construction Drawings, Pumps and Drivers, Valves, Introduction to Test Instruments, Material Handling and Hand Rigging, Mobile and Support Equipment and Lubrication.

This course provides an advanced overview of Industrial Maintenance. Key content includes Advanced Towers and Vessels, Advanced Trade Math, Precision Tools, Installing Bearings, Installing Couplings, Conventional Alignment, Setting Baseplates and Pre-alignment, Installing Mechanical Seals and Installing Belt and Chain Drives.

Complete Machining Technology 1-3 at South Piedmont to gain foundational machining skills and build up to more advanced skills that will make you more competitive in the workforce.

In Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals, you’ll learn how to maintain and use a 3D printer. 3D printers are growing more common in manufacturing, making this an in-demand skill.
