This course is designed for learners who want to develop skills to engage in natural and common Spanish conversations. It emphasizes real-world dialogues, practical vocabulary, and essential grammar structures to enhance fluency. Focus is placed on understanding the Hispanic culture. Basic knowledge of Spanish would be necessary for this class.

South Piedmont’s Conversational Spanish Course is taught by a native Spanish speaker, who is passionate both about languages and teaching others. In our course, students learn more than words and phrases. They learn to communicate and be understood.
The course also becomes a community, as learners build relationships with one another, and together, face the challenges of learning to communicate in a new language. At the end of the course, students celebrate their accomplishments with homemade empanadas.
