The Program Options

2 Years 74 Credit Hours
South Piedmont’s Construction Management Technology program will prepare you to supervise, manage, and inspect construction sites, buildings, and associated facilities. The program includes instruction in site safety, personnel supervision, labor relations, diversity training, construction techniques and documentation, scheduling, resource and cost control, bid strategies, rework prevention, construction insurance and bonding, accident management and investigation, applicable laws and regulations, and communication skills. You will also learn the key knowledge and principles of carpentry, framing, print reading, electrical, and plumbing. You will graduate prepared to work as a construction manager, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising construction projects from start to finish.

South Piedmont’s Construction Management Technology Sustainability program is much like our management degree, but this program also incorporates sustainability practices, green building design, energy efficiency, and an understanding of the science of building.

South Piedmont’s Construction Management Technology Certificate offers you an opportunity to gain a certificate in a year while still learning all the core principles of construction management. The courses will prepare you to read construction prints and oversee construction projects while scheduling inspections and following all code requirements.

South Piedmont’s Construction Management Technology CTE program allows high school students the opportunity to complete our certificate program while they are still attending high school. The courses will prepare you to read construction prints and oversee construction projects while scheduling inspections and following all code requirements.
