The NSLS is the largest and only accredited collegiate leadership development program in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at South Piedmont Community College was started in 2013. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with more than 800 chapters and over two million members.

The average amount of time it takes to complete the Steps to Induction is approximately nine hours. While most members do finish in a single semester, you may take longer if needed as long as you finish prior to graduating.
Yes, South Piedmont’s chapter is a Registered Student Organization (RSO). As of 2024, we had 1,218 members in our chapter, and there are more than 2 million members nationwide.
