Transferring After Graduation

South Piedmont has made it easier for graduates to transfer to 4-year universities by forming agreements that allow you to seamlessly transfer credits and continue your education. Below are eligibility requirements for our current agreements.

*admission contingent upon university requirements. Certain programs may be restricted.

Appalachian State University

Degrees accepted: AA, AS, and AAS

SPCC graduates with a 2.25 GPA or higher

SPCC students must take ACA 122 and get a grade of C or higher

SPCC students must commit to a full-time status and apply to Aspire before their last 2 semesters at SPCC

Access to Academic and Financial Aid advising from App State

Students must declare their intention in their first year of college.

SPCC graduates with a 2.5 GPA or higher

Declare during first semester at SPCC, eligible for the Gateway to Wingate scholarship, commit to full-time status at SPCC, complete ACA 122 in the first semester of enrollment

Required advising sessions, guest passes/student ID, access to athletic events, other benefits upon completion of 30 credits at SPCC
