South Piedmont Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa Chapter, Alpha Omega Psi, has reached 4-Star Chapter status for the first time under Advisors Department Chair of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Dr. Luka Kapkiai and Director of Student Life, Engagement, and Leadership Dr. Alen Doty. This milestone reflects the dedication and hard work of South Piedmont’s student leaders. This year, the chapter welcomed 60 new members, up from 44 last year, marking the largest influx of new members in recent history.

South Piedmont will also host the Regional PTK Conference for North and South Carolina on March 6–7, bringing chapters together for collaboration and inspiration on campus.

Director of Student Life, Engagement, and Leadership Dr. Alen Doty shared:
“This is one of the most hardworking, most dedicated groups of student leaders I’ve encountered in my time with PTK. We wouldn’t have earned this status without them.”

Dr. Kapkiai and Dr. Doty extend their heartfelt thanks to the college community for helping celebrate this exciting milestone and for supporting the dedication and achievements of our student leaders.
