The total course time is just 40 hours, spread over five weeks, offering students a convenient and efficient pathway back into the healthcare workforce.
“Our goal here at South Piedmont Community College is to prepare our nurse aide students to provide basic skills to care for patients in a safe and caring manner and take the knowledge they gain to advance their education and/or careers if they choose.” -Jessica H. Bowers, Program Director of Nurse Aide
“We make it our priority to send out competent healthcare professionals in the field. We are extremely proud of our students’ pass rates and their success” said Bowers.
South Piedmont’s Nurse Aide program is known for its state-of-the-art simulation lab, up-to-date equipment and supplies, and strong record of student outcomes. Graduates of the refresher course are well-prepared to return to patient care roles or continue their education in nursing or allied health.
The cost of the course is $248, making it one of the most affordable training options in the region. To enroll, students must provide a valid driver’s license, Social Security card, and a copy of their current or expired nurse aide listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry.
