The classes are being offered thanks to Digital Champion funding provided by the North Carolina Department of Information Technology’s Office of Digital Equity and Literacy. South Piedmont is using the Digital Champion funding to study students’ internet access, connect students with community resources to access the internet, provide enhanced internal resources, and promote and remove financial barriers to students seeking to gain digital literacy skills.
