South Piedmont Community College will host another neighborhood pop-up event in Wadesboro later this month as part of the College’s continued effort to connect residents with educational and workforce opportunities.
The event will take place:
May 27
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Sikes Avenue Community Center
201 Stahl St., Wadesboro, NC 28170
The event is open to anyone in the community who would like to attend.
At the pop-up, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about South Piedmont’s workforce and academic programs, the admissions process, and financial aid opportunities, including Anson Advantage, a scholarship program available exclusively to Anson County residents. Families attending the event can also enjoy free arts and crafts for children.
South Piedmont previously hosted neighborhood pop-up events in Wadesboro earlier this month and hopes to continue expanding outreach efforts throughout Anson County and beyond.
“We are committed to connecting Anson County residents with educational opportunities and resources that can help transform lives,” said Vice President of Marketing & Communications Rachel Colquitt. “These pop-up events allow us to meet community members where they are and help them learn more about how South Piedmont can support their educational and career goals.”
South Piedmont hopes to host additional community pop-up events in the future. Neighborhoods, organizations, and businesses interested in partnering with the College for a future event are encouraged to reach out.
