South Piedmont Community College will host its 9th Annual Trunk or Treat on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at the L.L. Polk Campus in Polkton.
The popular community event invites children and families to enjoy a safe, fun-filled evening of trick-or-treating, games, and decorated trunks designed by South Piedmont students, faculty, and staff. Last year’s celebration welcomed more than 1,800 attendees and featured 25 themed trunks handing out over 70,000 pieces of candy.
The event will also include the debut of “Later, Gator! From Sketch to Spirit,” a film about the making of South Piedmont’s Al the Gator mascot.
“Trunk or Treat is one of SPCC’s largest community events of the year, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and families for a night of fun and giving back to the community we live and work in. Each year, it reminds us just how strong our SP spirit is when we come together” said Director of Student Life, Engagement, and Leadership, Dr. Alen Doty.
The event is free and open to the public. The L.L. Polk Campus is located at 680 U.S. 74 in Polkton.
