Registration Now Open for South Piedmont’s Real Estate Pre-Licensing Program; Classes Start in September

South Piedmont Community College’s next Real Estate Pre-Licensing programs begin in September. Enrollment is now open.

During the 80-hour online real estate course, students will learn about the real estate market, property management and laws, contracts, appraisals, and other topics designed to prepare them for the North Carolina real estate license examination.

“We’ve offered this course for quite some time at South Piedmont, and many of our students have gone on to be successful Realtors,” said Stephanie Gilbert, chair of South Piedmont’s Business, Education, and Social Sciences department.

“What makes our program an especially good investment is that students learn from experienced, licensed real estate agents who bring real-life experience and relevant scenarios into the classroom.”

The cost of the course is less than $220, including the required electronic textbook.

The course takes place online via Microsoft Teams, though the final exam is required to be taken in person. The real estate course is being offered on two different schedules:

Wednesdays and Thursdays
Sept. 25-Dec. 5
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In-person final exam on Dec. 5 at the Old Charlotte Highway campus in Monroe
Registration closes Sept. 20.

Tuesdays and Thursdays
Sept. 10-Nov. 14.
6-10 p.m.
In-person final exam on Nov. 14 at the Old Charlotte Highway campus in Monroe
Registration closes Sept. 5.
