During the Oct. 14 South Piedmont Board of Trustees meeting, incoming Board member Jeff Nahrgang took the oath of office.
Nahrgang was appointed to the Board of Trustees by the North Carolina Senate. His term will last through 2029.
Nahrgang is a manufacturing executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company, where he currently serves as vice president of plastics operations.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel, where he graduated cum laude and served as a cadet officer in the Air Force ROTC program. His career path has included key leadership roles in sales, distribution, and operations, including National Sales Manager for the Retail Division and General Manager of Distribution for the Plastics Division of Charlotte Pipe.
He is a graduate of the Excellence in Speaking Institute, the Center for Creative Leadership, and several other leadership development programs. He is actively involved in his community, serving in church leadership, youth sports coaching, and civic organizations such as the Lions Club and Rotary.
He lives in Locust, North Carolina, with his wife of 22 years. They have two children. Outside of work, he enjoys exercising, hunting, golf, and spending time with family.
In addition to Nahrgang, other reappointed or newly appointed Board of Trustees members with terms beginning this year include:
- Ashley Carter, who has been reappointed by the Anson County Board of Commissioners for a second term (2025-2029).
- Chris Duggan, who has been reappointed by the Union County Board of Commissioners for a third term (2025-2029).
- W. Clifton Martin, III who has been appointed to his first term (2025-2029) by the North Carolina House of Representatives.
