South Piedmont Announces Summer Human Resources Development Classes

South Piedmont Community College will offer several Human Resources Development (HRD) classes from May through July 2026 on its Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe.

The classes are tuition-waived for individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, or have received notification of a pending layoff. The courses are designed to help participants strengthen workplace skills, improve employability, and prepare for career advancement opportunities.

Upcoming HRD classes include:

May 26-28 (Tuesday-Thursday)
Money Smart — 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

June 8-18 (Monday-Thursday)
Essential Software Skills for the Workplace — 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Communication Skills for Workplace Success — 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

June 22-24 (Monday-Wednesday)
Money Smart — 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

July 6-16 (Monday-Thursday)
Resume, Interview, and Job Search Strategies — 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Career Planning and Assessment — 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

July 20-30 (Monday-Thursday)
Essential Software Skills for the Workplace — 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Communication Skills for Workplace Success — 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
