Payment Plan Options

We get it. Sometimes, it’s difficult to pay your entire tuition balance at once. That’s why we offer payment plans through NelNet. NelNet payment plans allow you to pay over time, reducing your financial stress and removing barriers to your education.

NelNet Payment Plan Details

Enrollment fee:

NelNet requires a nonrefundable $30 enrollment fee. Once you are enrolled, NelNet will set up a payment schedule for you.

Financial aid approval:

If your financial aid is approved and posted on your Self Service account, you must call the Business Office to deactivate your NelNet agreement. Until your aid is confirmed, payments will be automatically withdrawn on the 20th of each month from the account you set up with NelNet.

Note: If you lose financial aid due to dropped classes or withdrawal, South Piedmont has the right to reactivate your NelNet agreement.

Payment adjustments:

The Business Office adjusts student accounts with NelNet at the end of each month for added or dropped classes. This adjustment affects your payment schedule.

If you add or drop a class between the 15th and 20th of the month, contact the Business Office at 704.272.5354. They may be able to adjust your account manually.

Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF):

South Piedmont Community College is not responsible for any NSF charges incurred while on the NelNet payment plan or due to dropped classes.

If you have questions about the NelNet payment plan, please get in touch with the Business Office at 704.272.5354, 704.272.5355, or 704.290.5849.
