At South Piedmont, our favorite word is right in the middle of our name: community. That’s why we take great pride in serving members of our community, regardless of whether they’re enrolled in classes. From summer camps to an educational resources lending library, we offer many services that are available to the broader community. Check out all the ways we can serve you!

Summer Camps
Each summer, South Piedmont offers an exciting lineup of summer camp opportunities for students ages 10-18. Camps focus on specific topics, such as law enforcement, art, the skilled trades, and leadership. Check our website in the spring of each year for information on upcoming camps and how to register.
Smart Start Resource Center
Funded by the Alliance for Children, the Smart Start Resource Center is a lending library offering more than 5,000 educational resources for children ages 0-5. The Smart Start Resource Center is available Union County’s families and childcare providers, as well as South Piedmont students and employees. It is located on the Old Charlotte Highway campus.

Literacy Services
Our Literacy Services program is available to anyone within Anson and Union counties who is seeking to improve their literacy skills. We are here to provide one-on-one assistance, helping you not only strengthen your literacy skills but gain the confidence you need to communicate effectively in your daily life.
Events
Throughout the year, South Piedmont hosts a variety of events, many of which are open to the broader public. From art exhibitions to special performances, there is always something happening at South Piedmont. We hope to see you at an event soon.
