South Piedmont Community College and Wingate University are hosting a bilingual college information and planning event from 9-11 a.m. on Aug. 17 at Ministerio Internacional El Shaddai in Monroe.
“We are excited to connect with parents and students within the Latino community,” said Rachel Colquitt, vice president for marketing and communications at South Piedmont.
“Attendees will learn about everything from the value of higher education to the college application process to financial aid and degree options. We invite anyone who is considering pursuing a college education to attend.”
During the event, attendees will have the chance to hear from parents and students who’ve navigated the college application process, as well as from representatives of both South Piedmont and Wingate, who will discuss the application process, financial aid, degree options, and more.
The event is being conducted in partnership with Our Future in Unison.
Ministerio Internacional El Shaddai is located at 1721 N. Charlotte Ave. in Monroe.
