Quality – Setting high expectations, conducting honest self-evaluations, and continuously improving.
Service – Understanding and meeting needs of students, our community, and all stakeholders.
Stewardship – Promoting sustainability and accountability for the College’s current and future resources.
Respect – Valuing the worth of individuals, appreciating multiple perspectives, and engaging in civil discourse.
Innovation – Develop creative strategies,
initiatives, or solutions that improve the employee and/or student experience.
Through a peer nomination process, the Values in Practice (VIP) Award will be given on a monthly basis to any full-time or part-time SPCC faculty or staff member for demonstrating our college values of Quality, Service, Stewardship, Respect, or Innovation. Any employee may nominate any full-time or part-time SPCC faculty or staff member for the Values in Practice (VIP) award. Employees are eligible to receive one VIP award per calendar year.
A peer evaluation committee will review each month’s nominations and select an award recipient(s). The employee’s supervisor and the nominator will be notified of the selection. The award recipient will receive special VIP recognition!
To nominate an employee for demonstrating the values of Quality, Service, Stewardship, Respect, or Innovation, please complete the following nomination form. Submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the peer evaluation committee to select the month’s award recipient(s). Nominations are due by the 15th of each month to be eligible for that month’s award.
