Braswell Ambassadors

The Braswell Scholarship was created through the generosity of James R. and Bronnie L. Braswell in 2000.

Mr. and Mrs. Braswell were active members of Wingate United Methodist Church. James R. Braswell was a bank president, a farmer, and a former chairman of the Union County Board of Commissioners. Bronnie Braswell was a retired school teacher in the North Carolina School System and instrumental in the building of the Wingate United Methodist parsonage.

James and Bronnie Braswell are now deceased but their planned gift lives on to provide scholarships for SPCC students through the Braswell Ambassador Program.
