South Piedmont Community College will hold commencement exercises for the class of 2016 on Wednesday, May 11. Two ceremonies will take place at the Union County Agricultural & Conference Center—one at 11 a.m. and another at 3 p.m.—honoring candidates for graduation from the School of Allied Health, the School of Applied Science & Technology, the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Nursing.
Both ceremonies are ticketed events.
Commencement addresses will be given by Evanna Brening, a former professional clown, juggler and magician’s assistant, who decided to start college and pursue a nursing career at age 40. Brening says that laughter with great patient care is a special combination.
