Instructor Methodology
Course Description
This course covers the information needed to develop and instruct EMS courses. Topics include instructional methods, lesson plan development, time management skills, and theories of adult learning. Upon completion, students should be able to teach EMS courses and meet the North Carolina EMS requirements for instructor methodology.

Pre-Requisites
- Be currently credentialed as an EMT, AEMT, Paramedic
- Possess a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
- Documentation proving completion of the EMT Emergency Services CASAS evaluation within 12 months assessing at minimum score of 249. This test is offered through the SPCC Testing Center.

All paperwork from the EMT Checklist must be turned in to the Public Safety Program Coordinator Rhonda Weaver at rweaver@spcc.edu or in her office at OCH- Monroe, Mobile Unit 6, room 2809.
Do not send links to documents. All signatures must be “live” signatures (meaning not typed) Registration forms are not provided until all documentation has been submitted. Registrations are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis of completed steps listed in the checklist. We cannot reserve or save seats for anyone.
