Here is an anecdote from the story about Richard’s journey within SPCC.

Baker just completed the Associate in Arts in a Year (AAY) program at South Piedmont Community College.

The program caps tuition for students so the maximum they’ll be paying out-of-pocket is $1,500.

“[The cost] could be even less with financial aid and other funding sources,” said Jessy Naito, assistant director of admissions at South Piedmont Community College.

The AAY is putting Baker on a path to get his bachelor’s degree at Wingate University.

Baker says this moment has been nearly 20 years in the making.

“I’ve always told my sons, as far as education, to go at least to the level I’ve gone to,” Baker said. “Education is very important, and I wanted to instill that in my sons so they can have a brighter future and be better than I am.”

The Associate in a Year program is a great way to achieve your goals and complete your education quickly and affordably. To learn more about the program, visit our website or contact an SPCC recruiter today.
