The Therapeutic Massage program is designed for career-minded individuals who are focused on the health and well-being of their clients. The curriculum prepares graduates to work in direct client care settings to provide soft tissue manipulation, methodical pressure, friction and kneading of the body for maintaining wellness or treating alterations in wellness throughout the lifespan.
The Therapeutic Massage program requires professional standards that encompasses motor skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and ability to work with individuals of various ages and degree of health. This program will include content in normal human anatomy and physiology, therapeutic massage, ethical/legal issues, business practices, psychology and life saving techniques.
The Therapeutic Massage program offers training for a career in the healing arts and offers small class size with individual attention. The program provides all the skills and competencies necessary to sit for the national certification exam (MBLEX).
